About Dan

Dan is a seasoned professional with a passion for talent acquisition and a wealth of experience in the field. Dan brings a data-led, strategic, and results-driven approach to helping businesses achieve their corporate objectives by acquiring and retaining top-tier talent.
Dan started his Recruiting career in London as an agency Recruiter specialising in software engineering for financial services in the UK before moving to his first in-house leadership role in 2008, where he led the transformation of the TA function for one of the UK’s largest County Council functions (Surrey). After four years in local government, Dan returned to his Software Engineering focus when he joined Sky to lead Tech and Product hiring for Sky’s new flagship initiatives before scaling Sky’s volume hiring function in customer contact.
Subsequently, Dan has worked with Expedia and Roku, where he built and led regional and global teams, collaborating closely with business leaders to get to the heart of the organizational need and to build and execute the TA strategies that would enable these objectives from a talent perspective. While Dan’s focus has remained on tech-enabled organisations, he has delivered across multiple functions, from Engineering to Customer Service, Corporate, and “Go-To-Market.”
Dan has built teams and delivered solutions to meet complex and challenging demands for both scaling and well established, matrix organisations. This has included leading large-scale transformations as well as building new functions and locations. As an advocate for diversity, Dan ensures a keen focus on inclusion through all of his work.
When leading a team, Dan takes a predominantly coaching led approach, collaborating with stakeholders and team members to establish and agree a north star and strategy, before supporting and developing his teams to exceed in their execution.
